Bertrand Stone, a String Academy student, was featured in the April edition of the Milwaukee Chinese Times for his arrangement of Horse Race which was premiered on the 2010 Spring Concerts. Horse Race (赛马) is traditionally performed on the Chinese erhu, a two-stringed instrument held on the lap and played up-right with a bow. Bertrand has been playing the erhu for four years. Both the arrangement and it’s performance were a great success, and we congratulate Bertrand for this exciting project.
