
Jamie Hofman
We are pleased to announce the appointment of SAW alum Jamie Hofman to the faculty of the String Academy. Mr. Hofman is a Milwaukee native and studied with James Przygocki and Mimi Zweig while a student at SAW. He earned a B.M. in viola and violin performance, in addition to a Performer Diploma in viola, at Indiana University. Mr. Hofman has been a member of the Louisville Orchestra, Louisville String Quartet, and has served on the faculty at both University of Louisville and Campbellsville University. He has performed extensively throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and is on the summer faculty at the Eastern Music Festival. Currently, he is in the viola section of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Hofman says, “I am thrilled and honored to be teaching at the String Academy. I owe so much to my years attending the SAW as a student, so to now be part of such an excellent and unique institution is extremely fulfilling. The faculty have quickly become great friends and colleagues, and I am especially delighted and amazed with the quality of my new students and their parents.”
